Originally incorporated in 1896 as "The People's Rescue Mission," in 1950 its name was changed to "The Men's Service Center." Women's services were added in 1994 and the name was changed to "Pathway Houses of Rochester."

Pathway Houses of Rochester is a state certified, private non-profit, residential supportive living program, serving recovering alcohol and substance abusers primarily in the Monroe County area.
